She was born January 4, 1926, in Bluffton, Missouri, the daughter of George and Emma (Becker) Malicoat. She was united in marriage to Ralph Dunavant who survives at their home.
In addition to her husband of fifty-eight years, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Jeff (Michelle) Dunavant of Fulton, three daughters, Jan Dunavant, Jill Dunavant and Joy (Jerry) Doughty, all of Fulton, one brother, Guy Malicoat of Rhineland, Missouri, one sister, Helen Hoover of Fulton, one grandchild, Luke Doughty, one step-grandson, Zachary Dunavant, other relatives and many dear friends.
Her parents, one infant son, Timothy and five sisters, preceeded her in death.
Martha was a homemaker. She was a member of the Southside Babtist Church in Fulton and taught the three year old Sunday School class at the church for forty years.
Martha was an avid vegtable gardener and spent many happy hours in the tomato patch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, June 13, 2008 at Southside Babtist Church in Fulton with Reverend Ron Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
