Taya Alice “Dumont” Bauer passed away at the age of 64 in Billings.


She was born to Virginia and Pierre Dumont on Dec. 2, 1951 in Pocatello, Idaho, along with one brother, Terry Dumont.


She attended Fergus High School in Lewistown, and graduated in 1970.




She first married Doug Rahn in 1970, but years later they divorced. She remarried to Dennis Bauer in 1999.


Taya worked 26 years of service with Wells Fargo Banking.


Taya sincerely enjoyed golfing, knitting, scrapbooking, painting, ceramics, and most of all, spending time with her grandkids.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre and Virginia Dumont; and uncles Jack Harding and Warren Harding.


She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Bauer; brother Terry (Keena) Dumont; son Dustin (Vanessa) Rahn; daughter Dayla Jackson; four grandchildren, and numerous aunts and cousins.




A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., April 11 at Heights Family Funeral Home, 733 West Wicks Lane. A reception will follow.


The family would like to extend special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice and Primrose Assisted Living.
