Sarah Dulin was born in Illinois, August 23, 1855 and passed from this life, Friday, November 25, 1938, at her home in Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 2 days.
Miss Dulin was united in marriage to Mr. H.B. Black on July 4, 1875. Her husband preceded her in death, November 19, 1898.
Mrs. Black joined the Methodist church (sic) at Chester, Nebr., in 1895. She moved to Sioux City about 25 years ago and most of her life was spent in Iowa.
Surviving are four sons: Frank and Ernest, both of Sioux City; Arthur, of West Fork, Ark., and Herschel, of St. Louis; seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She will be remembered for her kindness to others. At the time of her departure she sang that old song, "Nearer My God to Thee."
Funeral services were held at Sioux City, conducted by the Rev. R.D. Dexter, and the body brought to Chester for burial on Monday, in the Chester cemetery (sic), beside her husband. Her son, Frank, accompanied the body here.
