"Mary (Baker) Dukelow Died at Age of 92
"Grandma Dukelow, an Aged Resident was Native of Ireland. "Grandma Dukelow, the aged mother of James Dukelow, of northwest of the city, who made her home with her sons, died about 7 o'clock this morning."She was quite old, being 92 years of age. About three weeks ago she fell, and she never recovered from the shock. She was a native of County Cork, Ireland, where she was born April 1, 1819.
"Thirty-six years ago she came to America, with her family, locating at Boston. In 1880 she came to Kansas, and has since been living with her son at his farm up the river.
"Five sons and daughters survive the aged mother, James, Henry and Mrs. I. B. Downie, all of North Reno Township, Mrs. Edward Morgan of the corner of Eleventh and Adams, and Mrs. Robert Manders, who resides in Logansport, Ind.
"The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Dukelow home in North Reno Township, Rev. Mr. Underwood, pastor of the Irwin Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating, and interment will be in Eastside Cemetery.
"Grandma Dukelow was a patient, loveable, kindly soul who was loved and esteemed by all. She was an earnest Christian woman all of her life and reared her sons and daughters to manhood and womanhood in the fear of God." She married 1 James Peter Dukelow b: ABT 1799 in County Cork, Ireland, abt. 1841. Mother of Henry Dukelow b: ABT 1841; Jane Dukelow (Downie) b: ABT 1845; James Dukelow b: ABT 1847; Mary Ann Dukelow b: ABT 1849; Grace Dukelow b: ABT 1853 and Elizabeth Dukelow b: ABT 1861. All kids were born in Co. Cork ,IRE.
