George Terry Duke died, September 20, 1867, at Sacramento, California. He was born, November 15, 1826, at Dittisham, Devon, England, the son of John Terry and Agnes Duke nee Smith. His widow, Mary Jane Duke nee Metcalf, later married John Crossland. Augusta E. Duke married Carlton Carlyle Crippen, March 19, 1895, at Santa Clara, California."
