( Miss Elizabeth ) this is what I called her, was a special lady in my life. I think one reason is, we shared the same birthday August 24. She was kind and soft spoken and always had an encouraging word for me. She always waved or had something to say when my dad and I worked with Mr. Henry and Henry Duke at tobacco setting time. I saw her at church every week and she was always smiling and an encourager.
After Mr. Henry died, she lived in a mobile home behind Henry Duke and Mary C's home on Sebree Pike. This was just on the next hill from where my mom and dad lived. (Georgia and Gayle Calvert).
I remember well that Sunday Morning when my mom called and said (Miss Elizabeth) had died. I lost a great friend.
