ORANGE- Antoinette C. (Hebert)(Pratt) "Tiny" Duhaime, 95, formerly of Wheeler Avenue, died early Thursday morning, September 3, 2009, on her 95th birthday, at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol, following an illness, with family at her side.
Born on September 3, 1914 in Canada, she was a daughter of Philip and Yvonne (Arsenault) Hebert and grew up in Canada, moving to Keene, NH after the 6th grade.
While living in New Hampshire, she had worked at a shoe shop in Keene as well as at New England Box Co. In 1946, Tiny moved to Massachusetts and worked at the Slencil Company in Orange and Athol Plastic. Tiny also had been a nurse's aide at several nursing homes, worked at the Athol Meal Site and later volunteered there.
Tiny was married to Clement Duhaime in 1937 and enjoyed a brief marriage with his death in 1947. She was also predeceased by her previous husband, Robert Pratt.
A caring and loving person, Tiny always enjoyed going to Sunday dinner at her niece Elaine Dorow and her family's home.
She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing, as well as playing Bingo, watching wrestling and cooking shows, and loved her pets throughout the years.
Survivors include her sons, Ed Duhaime and his wife, Joanne, of Herando, FL and Eugene Pratt and his finacee', Judy Schuler, of Webster, FL; grandchildren, Rebecca O'Dell of NY, Stacy Coter of FL, Bertha Benoit of Athol, Donald Duhaime of Ocala, FL, Carol Truehart of Athol, and Jo-Anne Reed of NC; great grandchildren, Derek Laford, Francis Laford, Jeremey Duhaime, Daniel Truehart, Jessica Canning, Jennifer Brooks, Amanada King, Carrie Reed, and Shannon Reed; great great grandchildren, Kylie Laford, Meghan Truehart, Allison Truehart, Zachery Canning, Hunter Brooks, Cassie King, and Jacob Reed; many nephews and nieces; many grandnephews and grandnieces; and a step daughter, Doris Fontaine.
Tiny was predeceased by a great grandson, Andre Laford, a brother, and four sisters.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on September 26th at 11:00 a.m. in Silver Lake Cemetery, off Horrigan Avenue, Athol, with Fr. Fred of Our Lady Immaculate Church of Athol officiating.
