She was born November 17, 1934 in Prairie Township, Edgar County, Illinois to the late Jesse Lee Dugan and Stella Whitesell Dugan.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald H. Brown whom she married March 29, 1957 and died November 12, 2006.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth (Karen Hubbard) Brown of Tangier; three daughters, Judy Mussall of South Bend, Indiana, Sheila (Gerald) Lindley of Bloomingdale, Indiana and Teresa (Jon) Bruckman of Canyon Lake, Texas; one brother, Leon Dugan of Chrisman, Illinois; one sister, Sylvia Lowe of Chrisman, Illinois; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Scottland (IL) High School and a member of Friends Chapel Quaker Church also in Scottland.
Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in Gooch Funeral Home at 112 W. Howard St. in Rockville, with the Rev. Don Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Rush Creek Cemetery near Tangier. Visitation is from 4-8 pm on Tuesday at Gooch Funeral Home."
