Mattie Edna Dudek of Madill, Oklahoma was born on July 1, 1918 and passed from this life on September 27, 2012 at the age of 94. Mattie was raised by Frank and Mattie Bounds and after graduating from high school, she earned her Master's degree and taught modern dance. She was married to Edmund Emil Dudek and to this union were born three children. Mattie has lived in Durant with her son Jim for the past seven years as her health declined. She enjoyed keeping up with politics, reading and she loved to dance.
Mattie was preceded in death by Frank and Mattie Bounds; husband Edmund Emil Dudek; brother Jim Moss and sister Judy Bounds.
Mattie is survived by her children Jim Dudek of Durant, Oklahoma, Anne Marie McLennon of Santa Fe New Mexico and Sandra Twibell of Santa Fe, New Mexico; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Woodberry Forrest Cemetery in Madill, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
