First reports said none was injured. dwellings were damaged shortly after 8:00 last night when a bolt of lightning struck the chimney at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Duchon, 136 South Pearl Street, during a severe electrical storm. Mrs. Duchon said force of the lightning dislodged bricks and tossed them onto roofs of two adjoining homes. The "flying" bricks caused considerable damage to the roof on the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mi chael Swatt, 138 South Pearl Street. Mrs. Duchon said the roof at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tentromono, 134 South Pearl Street, was damaged slight ly, also. Mrs. Dunchon saia: wnen me lightning struck the house, I thought the furnace exploded. It really shook the house. I went down the cellar to check the fur nace and I saw smoke, not knowing it was caused by the falling bricks. ! "The neighbors began to yell that our chimney was on fire and I immediately telephoned the Friendship Fire Company." " Mrs. Duchon said firemen plac ed a tarpaulin over the roofs to prevent water damage.
