Barbara M. Charnley Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister; 79
CHELMSFORD -- Barbara M. (Ducharme) Charnley, 79, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died Tuesday, March 20th, following a lengthy illness.
She was the beloved wife of Edwin Charnley, to whom she was married for 54 years.
She was born in Lowell on March 5, 1933, and was a daughter of the late Thaddeus and Charlotte (Dean) Ducharme. She received her education in Chelmsford and Westford schools and was a graduate of Howe High School in Billerica.
Barbara spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold "Hal" and Mary Charnley of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Steven Charnley, Rosemary Charnley, and Peter Charnley, all of Carlisle; a sister, A. Joan Bishop of NH; and many nieces and nephews.
CHARNLEY -- Visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD on Thursday (TODAY) from 5 until 7 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Road, CHELMSFORD. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
