Mary-Anne Blanchard

Peacefully, with family at her side, on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB, Mary-Anne Blanchard, of St Ambroise, passed away at the age of 57 years, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral service will be held in the St Ambroise Roman Catholic Church, St Ambroise, MB., on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Father Eric Giddins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Churchyard Cemetery.

Mary-Anne was born in Portage la Prairie on November 22, 1952 to Phillip and Aldea Ducharme. She was raised and received her education at St Ambroise. She was a cleaner and had worked for various firms. Mary-Anne would move to many places but always return to St Ambroise.

Mary-Anne was a down-to-earth person and would always help others. She would make the occasional trips to the Southbeach Casino and frequently drive throughout the countryside and to the beach. She enjoyed watching the NHL playoffs on TV. Mary-Anne loved her family, her grandchildren and attending family events.

Predeceased by her parents; three brothers: Ralph, Wally and Edward Ducharme; three sisters: Molly Saltise, Phyllis Ducharme and Alma Ostendorf. She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters: Rhonda Blanchard, Vanessa Blanchard (Kyle), and Victoria (Stefan) Rey; three grandchildren: Mackenzie, Cameron and Jacqueline; five brothers: Tony (Wilda), Alphonse (Patsy), Ben (Donna), Rick (Elva) and Fred Ducharme; four sisters: Anita (Leo) Ducharme, Clair (Arnie) Holben, Theresa (Carl) St Goddard and Cathy Ducharme; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
