Cynthia Dupont Beaudoin, 67, of Silver Spring, Maryland, died suddenly on Thursday, April 17, 2014. She was born in Manchester on November 5, 1946, the daughter of the late Roland and Anne (Zanis) Dupont and has resided in Silver Spring since 1994.
She graduated from Notre Dame College in Manchester, receiving her masters in biology from Northern Illinois University and has an advanced science certificate in Hazardous Waste Management from University of California at Santa Cruz. Mrs. Beaudoin taught for ten years in the Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland, prior to retiring in 2013.
She loved teaching and working with chronically ill and special needs students. Additionally, she was an instructor at Montgomery College-Rockville Campus, teaching in the Gateway to College Program and the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Program. She was an active member of her church, St. John the Baptist, where she was an Eucharistic minister. An artist, she worked in watercolor and oils, participating in juried art exhibitions. Mrs. Beaudoin was a native French speaker, cherished her Greek and French heritage and enjoyed researching and studying Native American Indian art and culture. She had a love of animals and was an avid swimmer, skier and gardener.
Family members include one son, Richard R. (Christine) Beaudoin, of Colonia, New Jersey; two brothers, Steven J. Dupont of Hancock, NH and the late David (Diane) Dupont; and two nephews Jeffery and Thomas Dupont.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
