Mrs. Barton was born Oct. 21, 1901 in Burke and died August 19 in a Lufkin hospital. She was a member of the Apple Springs Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Barton lived in Apple Springs all of her life.

* Sisters - Thelma Richardson and Dezzie Crews
* Grandchildren - Russell Barton, Judy Walters, Rosemary Wisby, Katie Rosanky and Carolyn Thompson
* Great-grandchildren - Joshua Walters, Ashley Walters, Kenneth Thompson, Krystal Rose Thompson and David Michael Wisby
Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Barton in 1970.
