Norma Lee Holmes-Drywater was born on Christmas Day, December 25th, 1953 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Rufus and Jessie Mae (Hooper) Holmes. She grew up in the Tahlequah area, along with her sister and two brothers, Charlene, James, and David. In 2001, she married Phillip Drywater in Ft. Smith, AR. Together they attended softball games, Pow-Wow's, stomp dances, many community events. They loved any time spent with family, watching her grandchildren at sporting events or school programs, or a holiday dinner with the family all together. Norma always saw to the needs of her family, and friends, never asking anything for herself. She was loving, patient, and kind. Her smile instantly made you feel like you had been friends for a long time. She was optimistic, seeing the good in everyone she met. Norma passed from this life to her Eternal home on January 16th, 2016 in Muskogee, OK following illness. She was 62 years old. She will be greatly missed.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents.
