Bridget was one of the seven children of John and Kate Driscoll, one of whom had died in infancy. She had a twin brother named Timothy, who later became a policeman with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Bridget immigrated from Ireland to the United States and was living in Jersey City, New Jersey, when she found out that her mother was sick. Unfortunately, she had already died and been buried by the time Bridget arrived back in Ireland, where she had been planning to stay and nurse her mother through this final illness. Bridget booked passage back to America on the Titanic. She was 27 years old at the time. Bridget was evacuated on collapsible D, a life-raft which was lowered when the ship only had about 15 minutes left to live and was rapidly starting to sink. Back in America, Bridget married Dominic Joseph Carney, with whom she ran a grocery story in City Island, New York. The couple had four children, Cathleen (Cathy), Joseph (Joe), Patsy, and William (Bill). Bridget relocated to Houston, Texas after Dominic died in 1963. She stayed with her daughter Cathy. Bridget died of acute renal failure at the age of ninety-one. Titanic Survivor.

Boarded the Titanic in 3rd Class in Ireland.
She escaped from the Titanic in Collapsible D.
Buried in Saint Raymond's Cemetery with fellow Titanic survivors Eugene Daly and Julia Smyth.
Married Dominick Joseph Carney.
