H.D. and Billy went to ye burial of Edwd Drinker, Great Uncle to H.D. Said to be upwards of 100 years of age [102 years old].

On Sunday last departed this life, in the 103d (103rd) year of his age, Mr. Edward Drinker. He was born in a log-house, near the corner of second and walnut-streets, and spent many youthful hours in picking wild fruit, and catching wild fowl on the most improved and populous part of the city.
He enjoyed the use of all his faculties, particularly his memory, to the last years of his life. His eye-sight was impaired by age, but his hearing was uniformly perfect and unimpaired. He once in his life sat down at his table, with fourteen children, and not long before his death, he heard of one of his grandchildren having a grand-child.
In the early and middle stages of life, he laboured (labored) at the business of cabinet-maker; but neither labour, (labor), company, nor the usual misfortunes of human life, led him to the use of strong drink in any shape. He was not only sober and tempetate , (temperate), but through an uncommon period of probation manifested all the virtues of the Christian life.
