Our beloved mother, Ada (Rae) Driggers, 89, passed away on March 14, 2010.
She was a member of Lakeshore United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Rae was employed by Save-A- Stop for 20 years and a volunteer for St. Vincent's Hospital for 21 years.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Crumley; husband, Bill Driggers; and too recently, her son Butch Driggers.
She is survived by brothers Joe Barnett, Reed Barnett (Dot); children, Janice Schantini (Richard), Judi Whitson (Jack), Pamela Crawford (Rod), Laurie Cordell (Jim); grandchildren, Holly, Brian, Will, Allison, Jessica, Shelli, Lee, Jennifer, Justin, and Ashley; 22 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 2246 Blanding Blvd. Interment will be held on Thursday at Brooksville Cemetery. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd., 777-5727.
In lieu of flowers, if you choose make donations to Lakeshore United Methodist Church, NE FL Community Hospice or to a charity of your choice. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
