Diane D. Berger, 78, longtime resident of the Coralville area died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the Windmill Manor Care Center in Coralville.Diane Dolly Dressler was born January 20, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Arnold B. and Mildred (Schoen) Dressler. Growing up in Des Moines, she attended schools there, graduating from Lincoln High School. On March 28, 1964, she was united in marriage to Harlan G. Berger at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. In addition to raising their family, Diane worked for Drs. Skaugstad and McLaughlin at their Coralville Medical Practice for over twenty years.She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, traveling throughout the United States, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, and stopping at the Casino! Diane was good natured, with a great sense of humor, very kind soul who always put her family and friends first.Her family includes her children; Bonnie Hogan; Dave Broadie (Cindy), Deb Negley (John), and Rick Berger (Judy); 11 grandchildren, Peter (Rebecca), Abigail, Chris, Ashley, Collin, Melissa (Nick), Brian, Jeremy, Emily, Max and Maddy; great-granddaughter, Henna; Diane's sister, Doreen Dressler; and her brother-in-law, Dennis Berger (Janice).She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harlan, grandson, Joseph, and son-in-law, Chuck Hogan. -
