Caroline was the daughter of David Dresser and Ruth Damon. Her first husband was Ewen Joseph Stewart. Her second marriage was to Thomas J Alverson. She was diagnosed with cancer in San Francisco by a Dr McMonigle who performed surgery to remove the cancer. He stated the operation was a success but the patient died of shock!. She was interred to Myrtle Grove Memorial Cemetery where she now rests with her Son, Hugh B Stewart, from her first marriage and his two wives and stillborn infant son.
