Nancy J.D. Bennett
Nancy Jane Drayton Bennett, 45, died at her home in Beaverton on Tuesday, January 25,2005.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Portland, OR., on January 19, 1960,to Ray and Lorena Drayton. She grew up in Lincoln City and graduated from Taft High School in 1978. While growing up, she developed a love for the outdoors and spent many happy times camping with her family. During Mrs. Bennett's school years, she was involved in the school band and even traveled to Europe on a school trip. Due to her social and outgoing nature, she also made many lifelong friends.
While raising her beloved son, Braydon Dunwoodie, Nancy lived in the Portland area. She worked in many different areas such as secretarial, real estate, antiques and retail grocery. While working at New Seasons Grocery in 2001, she met and married Larry Bennett.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed doing craft projects, visiting Lincoln City to see family and friends, and spending time with her dog, Nikita.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by her son Brayton Dunwoodie of Beaverton, husband Larry Bennett of Beaverton, mother Lorena Drayton, father Ray Drayton, brothers Dan and Don Drayton, grandmother Sarah Drayton, and very, very best friend Vikki Bartels, all of Lincoln City.
Memorial services were held on January 29,2005, at the Congregational Church in Lincoln City, followed by graveside service at Pacific View Memorial Gardens.
Services were attended by numerous friends and family who shared many happy memories to celebrate here life. Arrangements were made by Springer and Sons Funeral Home in Aloha.
