The death of Mrs. Carolyn Louise
Bacon occurred at about 11 o'clock Friday
morning of last week at the home
of Frank Randall at Fly Creek, where
she had resided since early spring.
Death was due to the infirmities of advanced
age.
Mrs. Bacon was the daughter of the
late Dr. John Drake and Perlia (Judson) Drake and was born at Westford,
August 11, 1855. Her father was a
practicing physician of this county for
over half a century. She was united in
marriage with Jasper Bacon of Silver
Creek and made her home in that village
until his death, since which time
she had spent the summer months with
her grand-niece, Miss Marion Randall
at Fly Creek. One niece, Mrs. William
H. Murdock, of Cooperstown survives,
together with six grand-nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Randall home at Fly Creek at noon on Monday,
the Rev. Frank W. Young, pastor
of the Methodist church, officiating and
on Tuesday the body was taken to Silver Creek for burial.
