Mrs. Ruby Lee Braddy, age 93, died on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Meadows Regional Hospital of Vidalia, GA after a short illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County, and was a member of Elza Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by; her parents, Alonzo and Mattie Hughes Drake, her husband William Taft Braddy Sr., her sister Elizabeth Braddy and her brother Marvin Drake.
Survivors include 9 children and spouses; William Taft Jr. known as "Bill" Braddy and Billie of Thomason, GA; Gene and Marjorie Braddy of Lyons, GA; Charles and Merita Braddy of Lyons, GA; Tommy Braddy and Gwen of Lyons, GA; Annete Mobley of Lyons, GA; Elanie Williams of Vidalia, GA; Carol Funderburke of Reidsville, GA ; Peggy and James Higginbotham and Baldwin, FL; Marjorie and Winton Williamson of Lyons, GA; one brother Dennis Drake of Bellville, GA; and 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 11:00am in the chapel of Jones-Stewart Funeral Home in Lyons, GA with Rev. Kenneth Green officiating and assisted by Rev. Taylor Merritt.
Interment will follow in Odom Cemetery in Lyons, GA
