Aaron was born in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota. His parents were Julius and Mary Wendtland Draheim. Aaron married Effie Ella Wood, daughter of George and Jennie Deverell Wood, on April 5, 1911 at her father's farm in Waseca County. After Effie and Aaron were married, they farmed in Woodville township. Later, they moved to Pennington County, near Thief River Falls, where they also farmed. They then moved to Mower County, near Sargent. They returned to Waseca in the fall of 1925 and opened the Draheim Dairy. Aaron was a councilman & the mayor of Waseca. Aaron died in 1970 and is buried in the Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
