Olive Armstrong, 88, of Corsicana passed away Monday, June 30, 2003, in Corsicana.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral home with Rev. Don Pike and Rev. Mike Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Pattison Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Gary Armstrong, John Stephens, Keith Pike, Mike Gorell, David Shows, Dan Wright and W. J. Armstrong.
Mrs. Armstrong was born on Nov. 3, 1914, in Corsicana. She was born and raised in Corsicana and Navarro County.
Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Methodist Church and a member o First United Methodist Church of Corsicana. She served all areas of the church. She attended nurses training in Corsicana and became an L.V.N. and worked at the hospital and several nursing homes before retirement. She and her husband, Stokes Armstrong, resided on the family dairy farm for more than 60 years, that had been in the family since 1872. They shared the love of country living and Jersey cows.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Stokes Armstrong in 1999.
Survivors include son Bobby Armstrong and wife Betty of the family farm; daughter Joyce Pike and husband Don or Arlington; five grandchildren Becky Armstrong, Gary Armstrong, Gina Gorell and husband Mike, Brenda Pike Stephens and husband John, Keith Pike and wife Mary Ann; five great-grandchildren Ben, Emily and Mark Stephens, Grayson and Laura Pike; brother Finis and wife Bobbie Berry of Waco; sister Sue Witt of Kaufman and a host of friends.
