Evelyn M. Doyle, (Shorty Fretwell), 76, died Sunday May 2, 2004 at her residence in Stuarts Draft.
She was born July 20, 1927 in Stuarts Draft, a daughter of the late Lemuel J. and Lillian Brooks Fretwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Doyle.
Surviving is a sister Mildred Thompson and her husband, Warren, of Waynesboro; two brothers, Ronnie Fretwell and his wife Janet of Stuarts Draft and Leonard Fretwell and his wife Doris, of Stuarts Draft; she also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Rankin Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 with the Rev. Edward Guldenschuh officiating.
