Hazel Jane (Henderson) Doyle, 74, of 1442 Harding Ave., Waynesboro, died Sunday, February 01, 2009 at her residence.
She was born May 27, 1934 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Clarence Adam Henderson and Pocahontas Ross Henderson.
Mrs. Doyle was a retired from the former G.E. / Genicom Co. at Waynesboro. She enjoyed horse racing, going shopping and loved the great outdoors. She was a member of the Waynesboro Free Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday school for over twenty years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Curtis Doyle in 2002, two brothers, Buddy and Wayne Henderson and a sister Jean Lyons.
Survivors include two sons; Paul D. Doyle of Waynesboro, Charles Robert Doyle of Havelock, NC, a daughter, Jeanie Gayle Doyle Lunsford of Waynesboro, brother Billy F. Henderson of Waynesboro, two sisters, Beverly Henderson, Becky Henderson both of Waynesboro, grandson, Stephen Charles Doyle, four granddaughters; Tabatha Anne Lunsford, Amy Gail Lunsford, Elizabeth Faye Lunsford, Carrie Ashley Doyle, one great granddaughter, Cameron Nicole Pace and one great grandson, Ian Christopher.
A service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday (Feb.5, 2009) at the Chapel of McDow Funeral Home by Pastor Herbert G. Leach. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Eddie Dameron, Abraham Saunders, Taylor Stringham, Earl Lunsford, Robert D. Painter and Mason C. Thomas.
