Doyle, Alexander “Brendan”, age 78 of Oxford, passed away August 23, 2016. Beloved husband of Carol for 54 years; loving father of Gail (Ray) David, James (Marcia) Doyle, Beth (Scott) Stout, and Susan (David) Fazzini; proud grandfather of Kyle, Sean, Sarah, Carli, Chloe and Ben; son of the late Alexander and Helen Doyle; dear brother of John (Maryann) Doyle, Jean (Charles) Green, Kevin (the late Diane) Doyle, and the late Eileen (the late Bill) Duffy and Kathleen Whalen. Brother-in-law of Mike Whalen. Brendan started a long and dedicated career at General Motors in the mail room and retired 37 years later as Director of Production Control. A devout Catholic all his life, Brendan’s greatest love was being a husband and father to his family. He cared deeply for his wife and loved each one of his children and grandchildren in a unique and special way. A generous soul that loved without bounds, Brendan leaves behind many friends and even acquaintances whose lives he touched profoundly. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. instate at St. Joseph Catholic Church (715 N. Lapeer Rd, Lake Orion, MI 48362). The family will receive friends on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 2-9 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd, Orion, MI 48360. Private interment at Square Lake Cemetery, Lake Orion.
