Moses W. Doyle Dies; Local Priest's Father. Former selectman.
Moses W. Doyle, 88, of 17 Alford Street, Torrington, father of Rev. Robert W. Doyle, assistant at St. Peter's Church, Hartford, died at his home Monday night.
He was born in Goshen and came to Torrington from Litchfield in 1903. He was one of Torrington's oldest and best known residents. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and from 1890 to 1896 was selectman of the town of Litchfield.
Mr. Doyle leaves three daughters, Mrs. Francis P. Murphy of Lyle, Minn., Miss Elizabeth M. Doyle and Miss Margaret C. Doyle, both of Torrington and J. Gerald Doyle of Simsbury; a sister, Mrs. Annie Doyle of Bridgeport and a niece, Mrs. John Sheedy of Torrington.
