Originally a Marylander, who married Francis Michael Doyle (1833-1871) on October 16, 1858, settling in the District of Columbia, the mother of four children, Ambrose, 1860-1864, Emma, b. July 31, 1864; Mary, b. June 12, 1868, and Robert Emmet Doyle, b. February 24, 1871. Widow of Francis Michael Doyle, who was the first member of the Metropolitan Police Department to be shot and killed in the performance of his duties. She died at her home, 495 E Street SW.

widow of the late Policeman F.M. Doyle. Funeral service Sunday, 3:30 p.m. from 5th Baptist
Church, Virginia avenue near 6th street southwest. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
