Ennice (Blair) Douthit was born 31 Jul 1884 in the Ellerslie District, Talbot County, Georgia to William Samuel and Willie Anna (Gilmore) Blair. When she was 16 the Blair family moved to Van Zandt County, TX. It was in Van Zandt County that Ennice met her future husband Carl Decatur Douthit whom she married 10 Apr 1910. They were parents of three girls and three boys. After Carl died in 1937, Ennice and her two younger sons, George and Morgan, moved to Abernathy, Texas near the Cliff Blair family. She continued to reside in Abernathy until her death.
