Services for Lenora Douglas Dexter, 90, Sun City, Calif., will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Central Presbyterian Church in Topeka. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
Mrs. Dexter died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. She was born March 20, 1900, in Baxter, Iowa.
She was raised and attended schools in rural Douglas County near Lecompton.
A longtime Topeka resident, Mrs. Dexter was an active leader and worker in the Central Presbyterian Church where she was president of the women's association. She organized and ran the daily Vacation Bible School for many years and was supportive of the church youth groups.
She was a member of the Chapter FI of the PEO Sisterhood, and a member of Chapter 462 of the Order of the Eastern Star, both at Topeka.
In Sun City, Mrs. Dexter was a member of Chapter TN of the PEO Sisterhood.
She married William H. Douglas on July 20, 1940. He died Sept. 22, 1978. She married Wilfred H. Dexter on Oct. 3, 1980. He survives.
Other survivors include a stepson, William H. Douglas Jr., Lawrence; three sisters, Jennie McClanahan, Effingham, Ruth Cole, Lawrence, and Christeen Wiksten, Topeka; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
