WIFE OF SAITO, KENNETH K
A1C US AIR FORCE
* * *
Born in Honolulu, HI, raised in Wahiawa and Kailua beachside while it was still country. Evacuated on the Lurline during WWII to California and Illinois with her mother and brother. After returning to Hawaii, she graduated from Punahou School, class of 1955, and attended the University of Colorado. She was a Stewardess for United Airlines, and worked for the Bishop National Bank in Honolulu before marrying and moving to Alamo, California for 23 years. There she raised her cherished daughters, Lani and Lesley Williamson. She returned to Hawaii, worked for many years for Liberty House, and married her husband of 29 years, Kenneth Saito.
She loved her home, her cats, and her gardens, especially her orchids, and could make anything grow. She was charmingly feisty in character and willing to try anything, but she will have to come back to learn to drive with a stick shift and clutch. Aloha Carma, we are all going to miss you deeply.
Carma is survived by husband Kenneth K. Saito, mother Norma Briner, daughter Lani Williamson (Dan) Roach, brothers Stanford (Valerie) Douglas and Daniel (Marjorie) Briner, step daughter Jayne (Curtis) Takahama, grandchildren Danielle and Ray Roach, Nicolas Del Buono, and Bryce and Evan Takahama. She was preceded in death by her father Stanley Douglas, step father Howard Briner, and daughter Lesley Williamson Del Buono.
