Bernard Joseph Doucette WALTHAM Bernard (Bernie) Joseph Doucette of Waltham, died peacefully at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston on Wednesday morning, September 2, 2009, with his wife of fifty-five years by his side. He was 77. Born on November 17, 1931, he was the beloved son of the late Hector and Cecile Doucette. He was a lifelong resident of Waltham. Mr. Doucette served his country honorably as a sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. Thereafter, he was employed as a technician for Millipore Filter Corporation in Bedford for over thirty years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, puttering in his yard, socializing with the gang at Creonte Tire, and making breakfast for his grandchildren. He was happiest when he was spending time with his family and friends. Bernie is survived by his loving wife Anne (Kokidko), his devoted children Laurel Creonte and her husband William of Waltham, James and his wife Susan (DeLosa) of Waltham, and Dianne Gallagher and her husband Timothy of Merrimack, NH, his cherished grandchildren Nichole (Creonte) Collins and her husband Michael, Michael Creonte and his wife Sandy (Parshley), Kendra Creonte, Jaclyn Doucette and her fiance Kevin Delaney and Michael Doucette all of Waltham, and Andrew and Jeffrey Gallagher of Merrimack, NH. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter McKenna Collins. He was also the brother of the late Donald Doucette. Funeral Services will be held from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM, (BrascoFuneralHome.com) on Tuesday morning Sept. 8th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Bernies life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 7th from 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friend are respectfully invited to attend. Parking attendants will be on duty. Expressions of Sympathy may be made in Bernies memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
