Waunetta Dossett Baker, 75, passed away Friday at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. She was born in West Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Rufus and Edythe (Campbell) Dossett.
She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1950 and attended IU East in Richmond. While in Richmond, she was a receptionist for Dr. Cabigas for six years and an operator for General Telephone. Miss Baker was a member of Memorial Drivve Wesleyan Church, she loved to paint, and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her sister, Patricia Furney; her nephews and nieces, Jerry Wayne Dossett (Vicky), Cathy Frey (Rick), Tim Furney (Jackie), Tamara Furney, and Cheryl Furney; four great-nieces; four great-nephews; two great great nephew; and her dear and close friend, Dolores Smoot.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wayne Dossett; and her brother-in-law, Marvin Furney.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Johnnie Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Monday or an hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
