Mrs. Doss was born June 29, 1876 in Coushatta and had lived in Morehouse parish for the past 40 years, making her home at 108 Commerce Street.
She is survived by one son, Alpha Doss of Clayton, La., four daughters, Mrs. W.T. Carpenter of Bastrop, Mrs Victor L. Chapman of Midland, Texas, Mrs. E.E. Alexander of Tyler, Texas and Mrs. Virgil Cooley of Crossett; two sisters, Mrs. J.W. Doss of Lake Village and Mrs. Homery Carraway of coushatta, 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Services were held at Blackwell Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Peyton officiating and burial was in Unity Cemetery near Crossett.
Pallbearers listed were Ed Callier, T.P. Kelly, John Newton Jones, Fred Farrar, Dr. Claude Pratt, Dr. B.J. Ameroso, George Freeman and Jim Caldwell.
