Jimmie (The Most) Dortch Sr., 50, of Pascagoula died July 28, 1999 at his home. He was born March 21, 1949, in Fountain, Ala., to Mr. John and Mrs. Emma Pearl Dortch. He was of the Baptist Faith, served in U.S. Navy, a member of The American Legion Post 243 and an employee of Pascagoula Schools.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his father John Dortch Sr.; one brother Edward Dortch; one sister Pearl Dortch. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Mrs. Emma Pearl Dortch; five sons; Jimmie Jr., Timothy, Gregory, Titus Dortch, all of Monroeville, Ala., and Goldarius "Gee" Dortch of Pascagoula, Ms. Two daughters Debra of Monroeville, Ala. and Audrey Williams of Philadelphia, Penn.; six brothers, John Jr. (Annie), Roy (Clemistin), Phillip (Margaret) Jerry, all of Monroeville, Ala., Curdy Sr. (Bridgette) of Smith, Ala., Auston (Hattie) of Jefferson, Ind.; four sisters, Sarah Dortch of Moss Point, Ms. Joyce Dortch of Moss Point, Ms. Grace Dortch, Pascagoula, Ms. Cornelia (Clarence) Sanders, of Monroeville, Ala. Two devoted aunts, Mrs. Evelyn Cox and Mrs. Marcella Herrington. A very devoted and loving friend for many years Ms. Terricine Sellers, Pascagoula, Ms. Three grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.
