Frances C. Dorminy Clark
AMERICUS - Mrs. Frances C. Dorminy Clark, age 102, died late Friday evening Dec. 16, 2005, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, at Martha McDonald Memorial Chapel at Magnolia Manor with the Rev. Hugh DeLoach officiating with burial to follow at 2 p.m. from Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele.
Serving as active pallbearers will be the grandsons, Mike Saliba, Gary Saliba, Will Clark, Jim Clark, David Wilson and Bud Hargrove. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. today at Aldridge Funeral Services and at other times, the residence of Sara Saliba Webb, 209 Forestside Cir., Americus.
Mrs. Clark was born the daughter of the late Dr. James N. Dorminy and Sarah Jane Warren Dorminy in Wilcox County on Sept. 18, 1903. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a member of the Railroad Auxiliary.
Mrs. Clark was is survived by: four daughters and sons-in-law, Sara Saliba Webb of Americus, Eleanor Wilson and Wade of Macon, Shirley Lashley of Oglethorpe and Betty Hargrove and Johnny of Americus; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Clark and Charlotte of Columbus, Billy Clark and
Lillian of Americus and Tommy Clark and Doris of Rutherfordton, Tenn.; a sister, Eleanor Mitchell of Cordele also survives.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and six great, great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her late husband, Fletcher Clinton Clark, in 1987 and a granddaughter, Wanda Clark. Aldridge Funeral Services, 612 Reese Park, is in charge of these arrangements.
