BERGEVIN, Diana God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, Come to me." Our mother, Diana, passed away at her home in Walla Walla Washington on June 19, 2005, with her family at her side. She was born June 8, 1933 to her father Keith Dorman of Victoria, British Columbia and mother Betty Goldie Wallace of Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. Mother is survived by her sons Brian Bergevin (Claire Brittain Bergevin, Newman Lake, WA) and David Bergevin, (Teresa Robertson, Kennewick, Wa). Her sister Shelley Dorman Michaux, (Leonard, Victoria, B.C.) Her Grandchildren Britanne Bergevin of Spokane and Ian Bergevin of Newman Lake, WA. Her nieces Bridget and Sara Michaux from Victoria and Sherry Dorman Campbell of Vancouver, B.C. and Lynn Dorman Walker of Coronation, Alberta. She is also survived by many great nieces and many other relatives of the Dorman and Goldie families of Canada. Mother was a devoted individual who loved so many people she connected with. She was a person who tried to help anyone, often above her own well being. Her career was 35 years of devotion to caring for developmental disabled persons as she dedicated her life of service and advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities. Mother went to Senior Secondary at Strathcona Private School for girls at Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. At the time her father was a good friend with the President of Whitman College, who facilitated her coming to Walla Walla from Victoria, British Columbia, as a young student at Whitman College. After completing her Sociology degree at Whitman College, she attended San-Francisco State University Vocational Training Program in California. Mother was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Keith and Charlotte Dorman; her mother and step-father, Elizabeth Betty" Goldie Wallace & John Wallace; and a brother she loved very much who left us at a young age in his life, David Dorman. Upon her request, she asks that everyone celebrate her life with joy and share it with others by keeping one thing in mind, follow your heart and always do the right thing." Family, friends, and community members will celebrate her life at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St., Walla Walla, Washington on Saturday, June 25, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. Mother and her family would be honored if you could remember her service through a memorial contribution to the Diana G.
