Alene Briggs, 94, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria.
Alene was born in Danville, Ill., on Oct. 2, 1918, the daughter of Fred & Jane Evans Doran. She married Thomas Briggs in Indiana on Feb. 17, 1936. He preceded her in death.
Alene also was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and one sister.
She is survived by one son, Thomas B. Briggs of Sarasota, Fla.; and one son-in-law, Jim Lancaster of Mapleton.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
