Payne County News (Stillwater, Okla.), Vol. 47, No. 37, Ed. 1 Friday, May 12, 1939
The community was shocked Sunday morning by the news that George Donohoo, 28, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Donohoo, was killed late Saturday in a car wreck near Elk City, where he lived. George was a mechanic and was testing out a car which he had repaired when the accident occurred.
He lived in and near Glencoe most of his life, attended school here and married Miss Anna Shell, a Glencoe girl, who with two little daughters is left to mourn, besides the parents, brothers and sisters and other relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Nazarene church in Elk City and his pastor and a quartet from there assisted by a Glencoe quartet conducted the services here Tuesday afternoon in the M.E. church and burial was made in the IOOF cemetery. The sorrowing family has our heartfelt sympathy.
