As the oldest of 9, she obtained odd jobs in an effort to assist her parents during the Great Depression.
In 1951, she married the love of her life, Encarnacion (Chuck) Chacon and remained in Winslow where she reared her children until she returned to work in 1971 to help in the family run business, Store for Men, Inc. While known for her humility, she took pride in the way she carried herself with elegance, Avon skin care and occasionally a new pair of shoes. She was the embodiment of faith, devotion, service to her community and above all unconditional love for family and friends.

Along with many nieces and nephews.
