Obituary
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Huey P. Domec, age 79, who passed away Sunday, Ocotber 8, 2006 at 1:23 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Calvary Mausoleum in Lafayette.

Musical selections will be provided by Julie Broussard and Teresa Domec, accompanied by Phyllis Simar on the organ. The songs will be Amazing Grace, Just A Closer Walk With Thee, Here I Am Lord, Go Rest High On That Mountain, and Surely The Presence.

Mr. Domec was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree from SLI now ULL. He retired with the State as a Juvenile Probation Officer after 25 years of service. Mr. Domec was a veteran of the military, having served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Thibodeaux Domec of Lafayette; one son, Ronnie Domec and his wife, Teresa, of Brent, AL; three daughters, Patricia Lancon and her husband, Ken, Beverly Davis and her husband, John, and Nancy Domec all of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Kevin Lancon and Kyle Lancon; four step-grandchildren: Jacob Murphy, LeyAnne Murphy, Alana Murphy of Brent, AL and Lee Davis of Lafayette; and one sister, Sophie Gerard of Youngsville, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hypolite Domec and the former Eulalie Nassans, both natives of Cecilia, LA; two brothers, Francis Domec and Paul Domec and one sister, Pearl Landry.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Lancon, Kyle Lancon, Russell Domec, Dale Domec, Sidney Domec and Gene Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Lancon, John Davis and Ronnie Domec.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro was in charge of arrangements.
