Joyce Marie Over (Smith) Dombek, 80, passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City on December 18, 2011 after a long illness. Joyce was born April 4, 1931 in Tulsa, Oklahoma (possibly Joplin, Missour), the daughter of F. Lovetta (Eads) Over and Walter Percy Over. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1949, where she resided the rest of her life, working as a legal secretary until her retirement in 1983. During her retirement years, she was able to focus on helping and loving family, friends, and any pet that needed an extra hug or two. She loved her family and close friends with all her heart, especially her grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Louis "Duke" Dombek. Joyce is survived by her son, Kevin C. Smith of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Leroy Over (Jean) of Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law, Cynthia L. Smith of Lenexa, Kansas; grandson, Jacob C. Smith of Oklahoma City; foster-son Fr. Phillip M. Seton of Lawton, Oklahoma, along with numerous friends and helpers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were requested to Mercy Hospice, the Oklahoma City Humane Society, or Sister Barbara Joseph's Pantry. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, 22 December, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 2121 N. Portland Ave., Oklahoma City, followed immediately with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers consisted of: Zachary John, Jacob Crouch, Mark Philip, Devin Files and Dale Schmidt.
