MRS. CARRIE BLANCHE DOFFLEMYER, 1201 W. Washington St., wife of Edward L. Dofflemyer, died suddenly at the Washington County Hospital yesterday at 4:30 pm. She was 77 years old.


She was born near Luray, Va., the daughter of the late Pendleton and Dorothy Anne (Strickler) Kibler. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.


For the past 42 years she has resided in Hagerstown. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.


Besides her husband, she is survived by: daughters, Mrs. Geneva Rickard, Luray, Va.; Mrs. Genevieve Beadte, Gettysburg; and Mrs. Evelyn Garrison, Washington, DC; sons, William T., Hagerstown; and Warren E., Maugansville Rd.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.


Services Thursday at 2 pm at Norment Funeral Home, the Rev. Edward P. Heinze officiating; interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
