Naoma Dodson Cowan, 83, of 200 Glenway Drive, wife of G.T. Cowan, Jr. died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Winchester Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.

A native of Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Henrietta R. Dodson. She was a retired secretary from Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, James M. and Teresa Cowan of Winchester, John W. and Stephanie Cowan of Greensville, South Carolina, Jerry T. and Keim Cowan of Pennsylvania and Jeff Cowan of Lexington; six grandchildren, Daniel and Zachary Cowan, Sarah and Seth Cowan, and Matthew and Mark Cowan; one brother, Winn Dodson of Somerset; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Francis, Lawrence, Marcus and Walter Dodson.

Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church by Rev. Dennis Wainwright and Dr. Art Beasley. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be William Glenn Cowan, Dr. Frankie Vice, Mike Walters, Danny Savage, Rick Hatley and David King; Honorary will be Ottis Osborne, Buddy Poer, Gene Noel, Dane Snowden, Bob Larkey, Paul Wills, Boyd Tipton, Bill Cowan, Gordon Cowan and the deacons of Central Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Contributions are suggested to the Central Baptist Church Missions Fund, 101 West Lexington Avenue, Winchester, KY 40391.
