Joseph Doctor - Port St. Lucie
Joseph Doctor, 70, died Nov. 16, 2004, at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. He was born in Oakley, SC and lived in Port St. Lucie for 12 years, coming from Queens, NY.
Before retirement, he was a supervisor/inspector for the New York City Department of Parks for 23 years. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Lessie Doctor of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Rhonda Chamble and Jacqueline Doctor, both of Port St. Lucie; brothers, Peter and Cleveland Doctor, both of South Carolina, Melvin Doctor of Florida and General Henry Doctor of Virginia; sister, Sara Frayer of Philadelphia; and four grandchildren.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 20 and from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 21 at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie. A service will begin at 1 p.m. Nov. 21 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Patrick Silas of Church of God by Faith officiating.
