Sarah N. Cooper, 80, of Bridgeport, IL passed away Wednesday March 18, 2009 at Lawrence Community Health Care Center in Bridgeport, IL.

She was born August 5, 1928 in Lawrence County the daughter of Clayton and Ethel (Keen) Dobson. She was married to George W. Cooper who passed away May 14, 1988.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Nancy Zieve of San Diego, CA, Sally Cooper of Westminster, CO, and 2 grandchildren: Amanda and Jacob Zieve.

Sarah was an Avon Representative for 50 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, IL and was in the hand Bell Choir for 13 years. She started as a volunteer for Lincoln Trail Hospice (Good Samaritan) in 1989 and subsequently was a member of the hospice board.

The funeral will be Thursday March 26, 2009 at 2:00pm at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is also Thursday from 1:00 until the service hour of 2:00pm.
