Mrs. Robert Dobson, living near Tyro, Montgomery county, died at her home during a family reunion. It was Mr. Dobson's 75th birthday and a reunion of all the children was held at the old home. Just as the guests were departing, Mrs. Dobson dropped dead, supposedly of heart failure.

DOBSON.
Mary Ann Mawson was born July 29, 1838, In Scott county, Ill. She was united in matrimony with Robert Dobson in Scott county, Ill., February 22, 1857. In 1870 they moved to Missouri, living there until 1884, when they removed to Montgomery county, Kan., where they have resided since.
Twelve children were the fruit of this union, seven of whom, George, Francis A., R. M., Lizzie, Frank, Charles, Leslie, with the father, remain to mourn the loss of mother.
In her eighteenth year she was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church and has been a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus during all these years. She was always a firm friend of the Methodist preacher and helped in his work.
Wednesday morning, April 8th, 1903, the chariot of God came her way and as was said of one of old, "She was not, for God had taken her." Without a moment's warning she lay back in the arms of her eldest daughter and closed her eyes on things of time.
Tuesday was Mr. Dobson's birthday and the family had all been at home. Mrs. Dobson enjoyed the day very much. Wednesday morning she had decided to go to Independence with her daughter, Mrs. Moses. She had packed her grip and combed her hair, when she remarked, "I feel so strange". Mrs. Moses spoke to her and after a moment looked around and saw her mother leaning on the bed. Before she could get to her side Mrs. Dobson slipped to the floor and breathed her last.
Funeral services were conducted in the church at Tyro Friday, April 10, by Rev. W. H. Farrell, assisted by Rev. E. G. Coons. Interment at the Point cemetery.
A very large crowd of friends and neighbors were present. Mr. Mawsen, a brother of Mrs. Dobson, from Bates county, Mo., was present.
