Beatrice M. Dobson of Easton died June 3 at her home. She was 78.

Born Sept. 11, 1930, in Queen Anne's County, she was the daughter of the late Carlton L. and Marie Satchell Pardoe. She graduated from Easton High School in 1947 and on March 10, 1950, she married William F. Dobson. They made their home in Easton where Mrs. Dobson raised her family while also working for McCord's Laundry in Easton. Mr. Dobson died Oct. 3, 2006.

Mrs. Dobson was active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the E.E. Streets Post 5118 VFW, Easton. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her yard. She loved to collect blue denim day figurines and playing bingo.

She is survived by six children, Kenny Dobson and his wife Nancy of Easton, Marie Sewell and her husband Ira of Preston, Charlie Dobson and his wife Gail of Trappe, Deborah Sisco and her husband Donald Sr. of Easton, Trudy Baker and her husband Dickie of Trappe, and Sandy Leonard and her husband David of Preston; two sisters, Ann Harper of Cambridge and Kay Michael of Elkton; also 10 grandchildren, Charmaine Sisco, Kristal Coppage, Chuckie Dobson, Cindy Hynes, J.R. Dobson, Melissa Thomas, Lacey Baker, Amy Endzel and Ricky Baker; seven great-grandchildren, Mariah Sisco, Jada Murray, R.J. Hynes, Makayla Sisco, Natalie Dobson, Cameron Hynes and Dalton Coppage; and three step-grandchildren, Marty Robinson, JoAnne Linthicum and Brian Leonard.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Dobson was preceded in death by a grandson, Donald Sisco Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Willey, Mary Louise Willey, Betty Simmons and Frances Pardoe; and a brother, John Carlton Pardoe.

A graveside service was held June 8 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
